Dance Mom 101

Aside from second grade when I wore dresses for a year, I have never been a girly girl.  I was never taught to do hair or makeup. The little I know I picked up on my own. So surprise after having 2 boys I have a little girl. I started having to learn some girly things then. However nothing prepared me for my daughter joining dance last year. Shortly after joining dance she also decided to try her hand at pagaents so it was a girly whirlwind. So here we are a little over a year later and my girl is on the competition team which is like girly girl on steroids. Did I mention I'm also not crafty??? However thanks to some tutoring from some seasoned dance moms I've learned to stone and sequins costumes and I'm getting the hang of the hair and makeup.  I am on my way to being a dance mom pro myself. HA! Honestly, I'm not sure I ever will be a pro at this but you gotta fake it till you make it. In the meantime I'm super thankful for helpful dance moms and patient coaches!
