I really am blessed with some amazing kids. I get that I am totally bias and that's ok. We have a very exciting year ahead of us.
Like I mentioned in a previous post my oldest will be attending a fabulous school. I know it will be incredibly challenging but so rewarding. My biggest concern for him would be with his health. One of the reasons we chose to homeschool in the first place was he had missed so many days from being in the hospital. He's come a long way and his health has improved so much. I think once his body adjusts to it and he gets use to the extra work load, he will do GREAT!
My middle child is going through a bit of a transitional stage. His best friend moved and that has been very very hard on him. They have a friendship like none I've ever seen before. Thankful for modern technology so they can keep in touch easily. He has a lot of varied interests but nothing that he like is super excited about. So this year we are letting him try a lot of different things. See if he finds anything that he really likes to pursue. He is incredibly smart. So we just want to channel that into something awesome.
My youngest is probably the most motivated person I have ever met and she's only 8. 2 years ago she discovered a love for dance. The day she signed up she asked when she could compete. Now normally this takes a few years but she decided she wanted to try out after just a year of rec class. She made the team and was thrilled. She made new goals for herself. Some of those goals included learning to be a leader, getting her aerial, getting to move up to a higher team, earning a solo and a duet or trio. Even though I told her to get a solo your second year was near impossible she just took it as a challenge. She worked hard all year and she hit every single goal. This next week we make new goal sheets and I'm excited to see what all 3 kids put for their goals for the year.
They really are amazing kids and I am so blessed to be their mom!
